      <description>&lt;a href=&quot;http://www.coachmentoring.co.uk/consultants/Blog/Entries/2011/3/30_EMCC_Conference_London_2011_files/emcc.jpg&quot;&gt;&lt;img src=&quot;http://www.coachmentoring.co.uk/consultants/Blog/Media/object007_3.png&quot; style=&quot;float:left; padding-right:10px; padding-bottom:10px; width:160px; height:121px;&quot;/&gt;&lt;/a&gt;Bob Garvey and Lis Merrick presented at the UK EMCC Conference in London on the 30th March 2011 on “The future of Mentoring”.  &lt;br/&gt;It was a very refreshing, fun and inspiring session which provided an opportunity to learn about and discuss the latest trends in mentoring programme  development in the workplace with a view to equipping the participant with the knowledge to reflect on the best design for future mentoring programme activity within their own or a client organisation.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;The session began with an update on the different modes of mentoring that can be utilised in the workplace and encompass good practice in present day dyadic mentoring, role model mentoring, peer mentoring, co mentoring, multiple mentors and reverse mentoring.  The powerfulness and &amp;quot;darker&amp;quot; side of organisational mentoring was also brought into this discussion.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;The most state of the art design ideas in mentoring were then explored and some of the work that the two presenters have been involved in with different organisations was brought into this part of the session.  They focussed on virtual mentoring, talent management mentoring, cross border,cultural and multiple mentoring and the use of mentoring between the community and  business.   </description>
