The diploma builds on previous PGC studies<\/a> to develop you to the next level as a professional coach and mentor. This programme will help you coach and mentor in a less mechanistic way, supporting you to work with the client as a whole person (or organisation), as you develop your coach identity and model to a different level.<\/p>\n

This PGD will help you evolve the confidence to work with complexity, communicate with impact, and support meaningful change. For those already working in people development, leadership, training, or mentoring roles, the diploma provides a clear way to strengthen expertise and stand out professionally.<\/p>\n

Coaching and mentoring are no longer optional extras in modern organisations. They are essential skills for anyone who wants to support development, improve performance, and build stronger relationships at work.<\/p>\n

This programme is ideal for anyone who wants to combine academic learning with real-world application. It is especially valuable for those who need to demonstrate credibility, deepen their practice, and bring a more thoughtful approach to supporting others.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Postgraduate Diploma process and entry requirements<\/h3>\n

It will help you build a practice model across team coaching and mentoring, reflective practice and supervision that feels authentic to your goals.<\/p>\n

Build on your cutting-edge coaching and mentoring skills, processes and techniques from previous studies. Qualifications at PGC level<\/a> are suitable entry requirements to the PGD. Learn with fellow students from diverse domains. With real-play practice sessions, see how you can apply new ideas to your circumstances.<\/p>\n

After the postgraduate diploma’s three modules, you will be a very credible practitioner, two-thirds of the way to a full MA in Coaching and Mentoring<\/a> (via Leeds Beckett University).<\/p>\n

What is my commitment to achieve my diploma?<\/h2>\n

The programme begins in January 2027<\/strong>. Each of its three modules starts with two 3-hour sessions to build momentum and includes extended 3-hour practice sessions. Other sessions are each 90 minutes long. You should aim to attend all virtual sessions live from a location where you can interact fully with your camera on. You can access the university library online (as well as in person) and review session recordings and other resources on Leeds MyBeckett<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\"LeedsIn addition to the 60 hours of contact with your tutors Paul Stokes<\/a>, Auriel Majumdar<\/a>, Paula Brennan<\/a>, Stephanie Sturges<\/a>, Bob Garvey<\/a> and Lis Merrick<\/a>, self-study, plus three 4000-word assignments (during spring, summer and winter recesses), will complete your qualification. Your tutors will support your study, whilst remaining sympathetic to unexpected life challenges.<\/p>\n

Your Postgraduate Diploma content and schedule<\/h2>\n

As you might expect, your tutors will present the course in a very practical, coaching and mentoring way. They will be responsive to contemporary world events and will tailor sessions (all on Thursdays at 1 pm UK time<\/strong>) to the needs of you and your fellow independent-minded participants. Nevertheless, your tutors will include the following topics:<\/p>\n
