A good question and one that Paul Stokes and I were chewing the cud over earlier this week. We have been asked to update our chapter for the second edition of Coaching and Mentoring Supervision and Practice on this very topic. Resilience is something I don’t usually lack—so why am I feeling anxiety and worry? The unprecedented lockdown conditions and uncertainly of what lies ahead after these times, have caused many of us to feel anxiety and worry—and quite rightly so. There are no predetermined rules for the intensity of the emotions we might feel; we don’t need to be preforming a particular role, or be in a specific working environment to experience them.
Most of your workforce will be working from home or furloughed. How are they doing? We don’t have to sell you the benefits of yoga, calming practices and of meditation. But have you thought of making virtual yoga part of the lock-down routine? It’s effective support for those people who you have invested in, and who have invested in your organisation?
