We are having enormous fun with our 2022 lunch-time webinar series. Next up are sessions to enhance mentors’ skills when mentoring a woman.
We are delivering these particular topics in recognition of International Women’s Day on the 8th March 2022.
International Women’s Day 2022 lunch-time treats
We had a great response to our free webinars on effective mentoring relationships in early 2022. If you’re quick, you might still be able to book one of those.
Each year we love supporting International Women’s Day. So this year Lis Merrick has decided to continue our lunch-time treats by exploring these relevant topics. Whatever local time it will be for you, everyone is welcome, please come and join our community of mentors (with or without your tasty lunch). Just be prepared to discuss and join in.
Understanding Women’s Ambition
The issue of ambition still seems to be an obstacle for some women when developing their careers. Women’s presence on the Board has been proved to add competitive advantage to an organisation and despite there being roughly the same numbers of women and men in the workforce, there is still an unbalanced ratio in favour of men in more senior leadership roles. Join Lis for a brief exploration of the factors, which can impact a woman’s ambition.

Supporting your mentee with Imposter Syndrome
Imposter Syndrome is a major psychological phenomenon that correlates with success and is extremely prevalent in successful people. It is characterised by people feeling like frauds and being anxious that they will be ‘found out’. Imposter Syndrome is experienced by men and women, so join us to discuss what it is and how you can support a mentee who is ‘suffering’ from it.

Does your mentee have a ‘Sticky Floor’?
No, this is nothing to do with domestic hygiene! ‘Sticky floors’ are behaviours which hold women back from achieving their professional goals. It is not just breaking through the ‘Glass Ceiling’ but also navigating the behaviours which keep women rooted to lower-level roles and modify their ambitions. Come and join us for some interesting discussion about what can keep women ‘glued down’!
Wednesday 9th March 2022 @ 12:30 (UK)
All webinars start at 12:30 and will last for approximately 30 minutes — there will be an element of interactivity. If you want a chat beforehand, do get in contact. Lis is happy to stay on most webinars afterwards for individual conversations, so don’t feel you have to rush away!
