Mentoring - What are you thinkingA Postgraduate Certificate (PGC) in Coaching and Mentoring for Leadership in Organisations accredited at Level 7 by Leeds Beckett University. This blended course includes in-person learning across three modules starting in May 2024. Delivered by experts in the practical application of academic rigour, it’s suitable for internal and external coaches and mentors, or those looking to develop their leadership skills.

Postgraduate Certificate (PGC) Level 7 blended learning

This PGC will develop your skills to be a more effective leader. The first two sessions in Module 1 introduce core skills, as well as the important topics of Emotional Intelligence, individual & business change, Transactional Analysis and Solutions Focused approach.

Real-play practice sessions let you apply these skills in a safe-space with your fellow students. Here you’ll take your own real-world situations and discover the power of coaching and mentoring to reveal ways to deal with current challenges you might be facing.

How is the accredited PGC in coaching and mentoring structured?

There are 64.5 hours of contact with your tutors Bob Garvey and Auriel Majumdar spread across three modules over 9 months.

Leeds Business SchoolModule 1 begins with two full-day in-person sessions at Leeds Beckett University. Module 2 has one full-day in-person session with the balance of all modules facilitated by weekly online sessions at 9am (UK) each Wednesday. A 4000 word assignment and associated self-study completes each module.

What commitment do I need?

For your own benefit and that of your fellow learners, you should aim to attend all sessions. Your tutors will be sympathetic of any unexpected life-challenges, but any absence will reduce the benefit you will gain from the course. Virtual sessions will be recorded and will be accessible on the University’s learning portal My Beckett, alongside other resources your tutors will share. In addition, you will find the University’s library resource invaluable during your learning.

EMCC EQA accreditation of the Postgraduate Certificate (PGC)

EMCC Global Quality Award — Senior PractitionerAs well as the Level 7 accreditation from the Business School at Leeds Beckett University, we expect this PGC to be EMCC EQA accredited at Senior Practitioner level. This provides a fast track to EMCC EIA Individual Accreditation and another way to verify and promote your skills competency.

What is the cost of the PGC?

The cost is £4350+VAT per person. VAT is not payable for delegates outside of the UK. Applications are now open and operate on a first-come-first-served basis.

When do applications close?Payment will confirm registration with the accreditation body and is due no later than 4 weeks before the course begins.
