EMCC Senior Practitioner via Level 7 PGCFast-track access to EMCC Senior Practitioner accreditation via a Level 7 Postgraduate Certificate (PGC) in Coaching and Mentoring for Leadership in Organisations. This course, accredited by Leeds Beckett University, provides convenient virtual learning across three modules starting in April 2025. It is suitable for internal and external coaches and mentors, or those looking to develop their leadership skills.

Senior Practitioner and PGC Level 7 learning from experts

The PGC is delivered by experts in the practical application of academic rigour. Your tutors are experienced coaches and mentors, familiar with supporting individuals develop their skills to be more effective coaches, mentors and leaders. The first two sessions in Module 1 introduce core skills and establish rapport within the cohort. The module continues weekly with topics including Solutions Focused, Working with Emotion and an Introduction to Transactional Analysis (TA).

Virtual learning and practical application to develop your confidence

Bring your true self to this course. Each module features two, three-hour real-play practice sessions. Here you will apply your developing skills in a safe space with your fellow students. Real-play (often in breakout rooms) takes your real-world situations and uses the power of coaching and mentoring to reveal ways to deal with challenges in your life or work.

Further modules continue this very practical approach to learning. You will build confidence as you learn new skills, processes and techniques. Courses always feature a diverse range of participants, each bringing insights and perspectives that are helpful and sometimes surprising.

Fast-track to EMCC Senior Practitioner

As well as a Masters Level 7 qualification (with a route to full Masters via a PG Diploma) from Leeds Beckett University, the PG Certificate provides the EMCC Global Quality Award EQA accreditation. Upon graduation you can apply to EMCC for fast-track EIA accreditation at Senior Practitioner level.

Your graduation also unlocks discounted first year EMCC membership. The fast-track EIA application means you achieve rapid access to your Senior Practitioner 5-year accreditation, also at a reduced fee.

What is the structure of the accredited PGC in coaching and mentoring?

There are 66 hours of contact with your tutors Bob Garvey and Auriel Majumdar spread across three modules over 10 months.

Fast-track EMCC Senior Practitioner 2025

Leeds Business SchoolAll regular online Zoom sessions are at 1pm (UK) on Wednesday. Each module kicks-off with two 3-hour sessions to build momentum. Regular 1.5 hour sessions follow. Each module has two extended 3-hour practice sessions. A 4000 word assignment and associated self-study completes each module. There is a short break for Easter. Long breaks over summer and Christmas provide a good opportunity to work on your assignments.

What is my commitment to complete the course?

To get the most from the course, you should aim to attend all sessions. Your tutors will be sympathetic of any unexpected life-challenges, but any absence will reduce the benefit you will gain. Sessions other than the practice sessions, will be recorded and accessible for review on the University’s learning portal My Beckett, alongside other resources. In addition, you will find the University’s library resource invaluable during your learning.

EMCC EQA accreditation of the Postgraduate Certificate (PGC)

EMCC Global Quality Award — Senior PractitionerYou will gain a Level 7 accreditation from the Business School at Leeds Beckett University. In addition, the PGC is EMCC EQA accredited at Senior Practitioner level. Successful graduates receive fast-track access to EMCC EIA Individual Accreditation, providing another way to verify and demonstrate competency.

What is the cost of the PGC?

The cost is £4575+VAT per person. VAT is not payable for delegates outside of the UK. Applications are now open and operate on a first-come first-served basis.
