Belbin Team Roles

Belbin Team RolesBelbin Team Roles are used to identify people’s behavioural strengths and weaknesses in the workplace. As well as completing a Self-Perception Inventory (SPI) there is an option to include Observer Assessments as part of the process. Combining the two sources of feedback helps individuals to understand their role in a particular team, their strengths and weaknesses as a team member and how to improve their contribution to the team to build successful working relationships.

The tool can be used with individuals and across teams. A range of reports is available to support how Belbin Team Roles are being applied in the organisation.

Psychometric Tools in Leadership

Understanding the capability of individuals can ensure that people ‘fit’, perform and maximize their potential in order to deliver tangible business results.

Coach Mentoring Ltd can help organisations to measure the skills, behaviours and performance of their people by using a wide range of assessment and testing tools.

How does Team Management Profile work?

Individuals complete a questionnaire from which their personal Team Management Profile report is compiled.

The Team Management Profile offers insight on a personal, team and organisational level. Your personal Profile shows where you lie on the Team Management Wheel, and reveals the energies that direct your personal potential.

A rigorously validated questionnaire is analysed by the software to provide a 4500 word customised report available in all the major European languages. The Profile is a guiding compass for action. It can steer your own career journey, the trajectory of your team and the achievement of business goals.

The Coach Mentoring 360° feedback tool

360° feedbackCoach Mentoring Ltd has developed its own 360° feedback tool due to the response of clients who wanted their own tool they could personalise to their organisational competences/behaviours.

360° Feedback is a performance appraisal system that gathers feedback on an individual from a number of sources: typically including the individual, their manager, direct reports, and colleagues. Respondents are asked to complete a questionnaire that allows them to score and comment on the individual’s performance. The questionnaire is normally based on behaviours that are expected to create high performance in the role.

For a small charge to customise the tool, we then offer Feedback Reports at £70 per individual plus the debrief time, depending on which of our consultants you are working with. This is a very cost-effective way of getting a personalised approach to feedback. It offers:

  • The flexibility to customise questionnaires
  • The flexibility to customise the rating of performance to the organisation’s preferred scoring scale
  • The flexibility to include both rated and free format questions
  • On-line completion of questionnaires
  • Production of comprehensive reports
  • Confidentiality to respondents: except for ‘self’ and ‘manager’, the feedback received by the individual is presented anonymously.

Occupational Personality Questionnaire (OPQ32)

The SHL Occupational Personality Questionnaire (OPQ) is a widely used and respected tool that measures workplace behavioural style. The OPQ provides a clear framework for understanding the impact of personality on job performance: it provides information on the aspects of an individual’s behavioural style that will impact on their performance of competencies at work.

The OPQ has many business applications including:

  • Selection for professional and management positions
  • Identifying future leaders
  • Leadership development
  • Evaluating the talent pool following a merger/acquisition/restructure
  • Creating a project team
  • Managing the transformation of a technical specialist to an effective people manager
  • Improve new staff on-boarding

Psychometric profiling tools

The profiling information not only provides the organisation with information, it also offers ‘self-awareness’ insights to individuals. Having this information allows individuals to understand their preferences, styles and how they are perceived (depending on the extent of tools used) which they can utilize to inform their learning and development needs to improve their performance.

The assessment and profiling tools are designed to both inform and support talent identification, succession planning, deployment and development initiatives. They can be used independently or in combination depending on the context of the assessment.
