Coach Mentoring Ltd.’s Social Impact

Together, we will change the worldAfter over 20 years in Coaching and Mentoring, we believe in doing more than just business. We aim to make dents in the universe; leaving a lasting positive mark by working with and for others to create a more socially just and environmentally sustainable world.

Social Impact Programme: Making dents in the universe

Our Social Impact Programme brings together our expertise in coaching, mentoring and leadership, along with our passion and commitment to social justice and global. We work particularly with organisations and individuals in the aid, humanitarian, development, environmental, NGO, and charity sectors — where leadership, learning, and coaching are most needed but often hardest to access. We focus on enhancing leadership capacity, building resilience, and expanding access to transformative learning.

Why It Matters

WWF Learning WeekAccess to leadership, coaching, and professional development remains unequal — particularly in the global humanitarian, environmental, and non-profit sectors where resources are limited and challenges are complex. Through our Social Impact Programme, we commit to bridging this gap by offering our time, expertise, and services to those who would otherwise be excluded.

Our work is grounded in internationally recognised principles of sustainability and social responsibility. It aligns with core Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) values by:

  • Supporting inclusive leadership and organisational resilience (Social)
  • Championing responsible, ethical engagement with global partners (Governance)
  • Enabling environmentally-focused organisations to thrive through better leadership (Environmental)

United Nations Sustainable Development GoalsWe also contribute directly to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) — particularly:

  • Goal 4: Quality Education — by sharing knowledge and developing leadership skills
  • Goal 5: Gender Equality — by empowering women leaders and mentoring across diverse backgrounds
  • Goal 10: Reduced Inequalities — by expanding access to coaching and mentoring for underserved communities
  • Goal 13: Climate Action — by supporting environmental and climate-focused organisations
  • Goal 17: Partnerships for the Goals — by fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange across sectors

By investing in people and strengthening the capacity of organisations working at the frontlines of change, we believe we can help build more equitable, resilient, and sustainable communities worldwide.

By doing so and demonstrating our love for people, we seek to:

  • Enhance leadership, coaching and mentoring capacity of others
  • Promote equity and inclusion in skills across sectors, cultures and countries
  • Contribute to building resilient, sustainable and socially just communities

Our Social Impact in Action

Our work includes both low bono and pro bono initiatives that share our skills, time, and knowledge:

  • Supporting Greenpeace with coaching input and leadership materials
  • Designing and delivering the Across-Organisational Mentoring Programme, connecting humanitarian and development organisations.
  • Volunteering time and expertise to deliver coaching and mentoring core skills to global NGO teams
  • Producing and sharing open-access resources to strengthen learning and leadership in the aid and environmental sectors
  • Developing collaborative platforms to promote knowledge exchange and cross-sector connection
  • Mentoring and Coaching for environmental charities such as Greenpeace and WWF
  • Reverse mentoring programmes designed and delivered for CAFOD and Crisis
  • Delivered mentor training for programmes working with disadvantaged groups, such as Genesis Sun
We believe that collective action drives transformation. Through this programme, we aim to express Coach Mentoring Ltd.’s true purpose — to create a fairer, more sustainable world.

Working in partnership with Lis on the development of our mentoring programme has been invaluable. In addition to her expertise and vast amount of relevant experience, Lis has such a warm, open, ‘can-do’ attitude. The Mentoring Starter Package, provided by Coach Mentoring has proved to be a fantastic practical resource and I am confident we now have a great framework for our mentoring programme going forwards.”

Libby Hartz (Unicef UK)

Having been unable to find a mentoring programme that was suitable for vulnerable children, we were keen to develop our own. Coach Mentoring supported us in developing the structure of the programme, and provided the resources we needed to go on and put it into practice. Lis identified a number of crucial elements that otherwise would have been missed. In particular, her input on programme monitoring, establishing standards of mentoring and evaluation of mentors was really valuable. The mentoring programme has been up and running for almost a year now and we are seeing dramatic positive changes amongst our mentees."

Duncan Dyason, Director (Street Kids Direct)

We have worked with Lis for almost 10 years now, and she has been instrumental in helping us develop a coaching culture within WWF. Lis has taken the time to really understand what is a very complex organisation; she lives and breathes our values, whilst at the same time always remaining focussed on the individual and what is in their best interest. Lis has provided vital support and expertise and equally contributed to the development of our internal coaching and mentoring programmes. Her ability to deliver engaging, personalised training using virtual technology, has proved invaluable in her work with WWF around the world.”
