After more than twenty years in coaching and mentoring, there’s one thing that’s never changed for us: a belief that business has to be about more than just profit. It’s about people — about leaving the world better than we found it. That’s why today, we’re incredibly proud to share that Coach Mentoring Ltd. is taking a bold new step and becoming a Social Enterprise.
Our Story: More than a Business
To us, coaching and mentoring have always been ways to help people through change and transition and to realise what’s possible — for themselves, their organisations, and their communities. Over the years, we’ve worked with leaders and change-makers in places as varied as bustling city offices and remote field projects, from banks and financial institutions to global NGOs and grassroots charities.
If there’s a common thread, it’s hope: the hope that, by introducing people to coaching and mentoring principles, to encourage better developmental conversations, it can make change in the world and be a power for good. That’s what inspired our Social Impact Programme. We didn’t want to just help those who could always afford our services. We wanted to reach the places where leadership, learning, and encouragement could make the most difference — especially in the aid, humanitarian, environmental, and non-profit worlds, where resources are often non-existent and the challenges are truly daunting.
Becoming a Social Enterprise: Living Our Values
This isn’t a marketing move or just a change in our legal status. Becoming a Social Enterprise means putting our purpose front and centre. It commits us to reinvesting most of our profits to maximise the impact we can have in the world, especially for those who would otherwise be left out. It holds us to higher standards of responsibility, inclusiveness, and transparency — and it puts power in the hands of the communities and sectors we serve.
We’re not doing this alone. Our Social Impact goals align with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. We are also pursuing accreditation with B Corporation to demonstrate our social impact commitment.
What Social Impact Looks Like for Us
We will continue to work with our existing and new clients in every sector, but now
our structure as a Social Enterprise means our projects, where we donate time or financial resources to deliver them, is tied directly to driving positive change.
Some of our proudest moments come from working side-by-side with those tackling the biggest challenges in the world:
- Coming up to the 10th Anniversary of the Across-Organisational Mentoring Programme to connect the leaders of 20+ aid and humanitarian organisations through mentoring.
- Supporting a Women in Leadership Network in the aid and humanitarian sectors (1250+ women) together with a bespoke mentoring programme to support the Network. 187 relationships launched recently.
- Supporting global NGOs and charities like WWF, Save the Children and CAFOD with training, coaching, mentoring, and practical learning resources e.g. Core Coaching and Mentoring Skills EMCC EQA Foundation level programmes.
- Designing and delivering women only leadership programmes globally in the aid and humanitarian sector.
Every initiative isn’t just about professional skills — it’s about courage, connection, and possibilities. It’s about amplifying unheard voices and growing something bigger together.
An invitation to support Social Enterprise
If you share our vision for a fairer, more sustainable world — if you believe, as we do, that real leadership is about lifting others and daring to care — we’d love to connect. Whether you are leading a team, running an NGO or charity, growing a movement, or just wanting to make a difference, our metaphorical door is open.
Let’s talk, partner, share knowledge, and figure out how we can make a few more brilliant dents in the universe, together. Or get in touch if you can help fund some of this work.
