This spring, join recent graduates of our PGCert in Coaching and Mentoring for more short, free mentor Continuing Professional Development (CPD). Each guest speaker shares a passion for applying their learning in diverse areas, from mentoring prison leavers, leading without raising your voice, to becoming a thinking partner. So, please come and share interesting ideas. We expect an inspiring series of 30-minute lunchtime discussions!
All webinars start 12:00 (UK time) and last for approximately 30 minutes — there will be an element of interactivity. Do get in contact to chat beforehand, or stay on a webinar afterwards for an individual conversation!
Mentoring Prison Leavers in varied venues

Based on many ‘Conversations in Costa’, Tim will explore how mentoring can effectively support men returning to the wider community from prison. Whilst perhaps a niche specialism, the ideas will likely hint at wider application. He will highlight specific issues and suggest some important support mechanisms required when working effectively and safely with prison leavers.
Tim Clapton is presently developing a coaching practice which supports grassroots leaders in community cohesion and change while also mentoring prison leavers. Tim is an Anglican priest and has just retired after eight years as Chaplain at HMP Wandsworth. His interests lay in how mentoring can reverse the cycle of reoffending and coaching those marginalised in communities. Tim facilitates men’s ‘rites of passage’ and ‘inner work’ groups and writes poetry and shorts stories.

Becoming a Thinking Partner

Based on Nancy Kline’s, A Time to Think, Christine Beck and Alice Fearnley believe that the quality of everything we do depends on the quality of the thinking behind it. Becoming a Thinking Partner can give space without interruption, leading to better decisions and more meaningful collaboration. Join this session as they explore the topic further, and what it means to them.
Christine Beck has worked as a senior leader in the NHS for many years, and only at the point of having her own external coaching in 2024 did she realise that one of the elements of her role she appreciates and values the most is the opportunity to support people’s development and growth and in particular managing burnout. She is committed to creating healthy work environments and advancing staff wellbeing within the complex health sector, as well as developing compassionate leaders.
Alice Fearnley is inspired by her experience in the Royal Air Force, where coaching supported her transition to civilian life, Alice now integrates these skills into her work as a Commercial Project Manager. She is passionate about using coaching to empower others and create space for meaningful personal and professional development.

Mastering Strategic Visibility without the Noise

Based on experiences in the offices of the Middle East, Bdour Ghousheh will explore ideas around The Quiet Leader. Learn how to influence, inspire, and be visible strategically—while staying authentic—leading with impact, without raising your voice. Bdour says: “After many years of self-reflection and self development journey, I realised that I wasn’t the problem. The loud definition of leadership was.” Join this fascinating discussion as an analytical introvert shares her alternative to faking extroversion.
Bdour Ghousheh is a leadership specialist with 19 years of experience. Her work has spanned education, partnerships, program management, capacity building, Locally-led action, mentoring, and coaching across the Middle East, working with organisations such as Oxfam, Humanitarian Leadership Academy, Save the Children International, International Rescue Committee, USAID funded projects, and the Jordan River Foundation.
She supports leaders to grow with clarity and impact — especially those whose voices are often quiet but powerful. As well as the PCG, Bdour has an MBA in Business Administration, she specialises in coaching introverted leaders in the MENA region. Passionate about feminist empowerment and leadership and lifting unheard voices, she believes real change happens when people are supported to step into their full potential.
