After seven years and 1,500 participants from more than 60 countries, the WWF Mentoring Team felt it was time to take the Global Mentoring Programme to the next level—and introduce a digital mentoring platform. The goal was never to replace the human element that makes our programme special, but to find a way to scale its benefits and make it accessible to a wider audience across the WWF Network without increasing the workload. During 2022, the WWF global mentoring programme saw an increasing number of staff joining the programme from Africa, Asia and South/Middle America. 60% of mentees and nearly 30% of mentors came from the Global South. Regardless of location, mentees say that mentoring assisted them with work-related challenges, built skills on the job and made them more confident. Mentors were motivated by the programme and found it developed their leadership skills.
We are a one-stop shop for all aspects of setting up and running your mentoring programme. From developing the rationale, through influencing stakeholders, to communications and publicity. Plus briefing and matching of the participants, whilst offering support, especially through the early stages. We even take care of the day-to-day running of your programme, with evaluation to inform future programmes.
Organised by Youth Business International, this is the 9th International Days of Mentoring event held virtually across three days. 
WWF has seen significant year-on-year increases in participation of its global mentoring programme. Since its inception in 2018, WWF’s programme has had over 600 participants (350 Mentees, 270 Mentors). Mentoring Ambassadors are responsible for a significant contribution to that growth.
