WWF’s unified human‑digital global mentoring programme success

Mentoring programmeAfter seven years and 1,500 participants from more than 60 countries, the WWF Mentoring Team felt it was time to take the Global Mentoring Programme to the next level—and introduce a digital mentoring platform. The goal was never to replace the human element that makes our programme special, but to find a way to scale its benefits and make it accessible to a wider audience across the WWF Network without increasing the workload. At the same time, we wanted to stay aligned with rapid technological developments in the digital age. Continue reading


Across organisational mentor/mentee matching in the Humanitarian sector

Leaders, or future leaders, in the humanitarian sector are benefiting from mentoring conversations with individuals from another organisation, yet with similar specialisms. Across organisational matching, in relevant thematic areas, creates more dialogue and powerful shared learning for both mentees and mentors. In 2023, 300 participants have joined AOMP from 17 organisations and 66 countries.

WWF makes mentoring effective for participants from the Global South

WWF ValuesDuring 2022, the WWF global mentoring programme saw an increasing number of staff joining the programme from Africa, Asia and South/Middle America. 60% of mentees and nearly 30% of mentors came from the Global South. Regardless of location, mentees say that mentoring assisted them with work-related challenges, built skills on the job and made them more confident. Mentors were motivated by the programme and found it developed their leadership skills.

9th International ‘Days of Mentoring’ featuring three masterclasses

Days of mentoringOrganised by Youth Business International, this is the 9th International Days of Mentoring event held virtually across three days. This year’s mentoring days are open to more than 50 countries and held in English and Russian with simultaneous translation. Focussing on mentoring in entrepreneurship, each day features a mentoring masterclass from mentoring experts Bob Garvey, Auriel Majumdar and Lis Merrick.

The Fish Site, Women in Aquaculture Mentoring Programme

It will offer professional mentoring to women and men in the industry.
